Join The Underline for a day of fun, local food, and festivities at the new Hammock Playground to celebrate the opening of the Hammock Trail, growing the project by an additional 2.14 miles.

This block party is the perfect opportunity to meet your neighbors, enjoy live music, and indulge in delicious treats from local vendors. The event will be held at The Underline’s Hammock Playground, located across the street from 1523 SW 1st Ave. 

The whole family is invited to celebrate the extension of Miami’s shared backyard, filled with activities for all ages, including live performances, giant legos in the shaded Hammock Playground Plaza sponsored by Publix Super Markets Charities to relax and unwind.

With funding from the Lynn & Louis Wolfson II Family Foundation and the Knight Foundation, The Underline will also unveil its newest public and functional art installation: the Modified Social Bench by renowned Danish artist Jeppe Hein. Getting there: The Underline’s Hammock Playground Plaza

•⁠ Take the Metrorail to the Brickell Metrorail Station, exit south, and walk toward The Hammock Playground Plaza on SW 15th Road and SW 1st Avenue.

•⁠ ‍♂️ Walk or bike (bike racks are located at The Hammock Playground) to The Hammock Playground Plaza located on SW 1st Avenue after the crossing of SW 15th Road. There is a bike path located along SW 1st Avenue.

•⁠ If you drive, please use the metered spaces on SW 1st Avenue after crossing SW 15 Road or the nearby parking garages after crossing SW 15 Road and heading south on SW 1st Avenue.
